Chief Executive Group seeks an Accountant to support all of our bookkeeping functions, including budgeting, reporting, and accounts payable/receivable. Reporting directly to the Controller, this is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who wants to contribute to strategic financial management projects as well as handle day-to-day accounting functions in support of our business growth.

Initially, the Accountant will play a key role in implementing our migration to a new financial reporting system. On an ongoing basis, s/he will be responsible for managing cash flows, accounts receivables and collections efforts, and maintaining accurate cash flow forecast and projections. The Accountant will also utilize Excel and accounting software to produce management reporting and financial analysis for senior leaders and department heads.
Specific job responsibilities for the Bookkeeper/Accountant include:
Executing accounts payable/receivable, as well as all related reporting
Producing accurate and timely consolidated financial statements for month-end and year-end closes
Reconciling bank accounts and performing account analysis on asset and liability accounts
Producing management reports and targeted financial analysis as needed
Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements
Identifying opportunities for operating efficiencies and/or expense reductions
Managing office supply/photocopy/mail meter vendor relationships and purchasing supplies and services as needed
The Bookkeeper/Accountant will be an organized and analytical finance professional with the ability to thrive within a fast-moving, entrepreneurial culture. The ideal candidate will embrace innovation and have the ability to manage multiple deliverables concurrently and with precise attention to detail.
Specific qualifications for the Accounting position include:
Relevant accounting experience, including with subscription or other recurring revenue business models
Demonstrated experience with all aspects of cash management, including receivables, forecasting, payables, and budgeting
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, coupled with familiarity with small business accounting software packages such as Sage and QuickBooks
Degree in accounting, finance, management or a related field
